The theme for the 20th Australian Food Safety Week, to be held from 6 to 12 November 2016, is ‘Raw and risky’ foods following major food poisoning outbreaks in recent years linked to risky raw foods such as unpasteurized milk, raw eggs, bean/seed sprouts, frozen berries and lettuce.

We are pleased to announce our participation in ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam 2016, held from May 10 to 13, 2016. The ISSA/Interclean is one of the biggest trade shows for the professional cleaning industry, which is held every 2 years and a perfect venue for us to showcase our full line of hygiene and sanitation amenities.

Saraya is proud to announce winning the Gold Prize at the 'Eco Mark Award 2015' held by the Japan Environment Association (JEA). The prize recognises Saraya's commitment to producing and promoting environmentally friendly products. Eco Mark was established in 1989 by JEA – a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) – to provide an environmental labelling scheme consistent with ISO 14020 and ISO 14024. It remains the only certified 'type I' environmental labelling program in Japan.

With great pleasure SARAYA participated in Medica 2015 in Germany held from the 16th to the 19th of November. 130,000 specialist visitors from 120 nations came to Düsseldorf to see the world biggest exhibition for medical products.

From November 11th to the 13th, SARAYA's food sanitation instructors in Japan, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Malaysia gathered in Japan to take a "Train-the-Trainer/HACCP Course" conducted by the Japan HACCP Training Center.

We are proud to announce that Saraya (Hong Kong Sales) Co., Limited was awarded one of Hong Kong's Most Valuable Companies in 2016 by the Mediazone Group. This award is presented to companies who focused on adding value to their market in the areas of commitment to innovation, quality of service, devotion to customer satisfaction and constant improvisation.

As a part of the JENESYS2015 Inbound Program, 22 medical university and graduate students from East Timor visited Japan on October 6. SARAYA invited them for a company tour and introduced to our businesses, SARAYA East Africa, and the Wash a Million Hands Project in Uganda – SARAYA's hand washing promotional project.

Saraya participated in 16th World Sterilization Congress, held in Lille, France on October 7th to the 10th, 2015. This year the STERIACE plasma equipment sterilizer was debuted at the congress. The STERIACE features new technology that utilizes peracetic acid instead of hydrogen peroxide at the sterilizing agent.
